Sunday Bonus

For Most April’s during the A-Z Blog Challenge, we don’t publish on Sunday’s, but so many of you have been so kind and supportive, I wanted to reward you with a quick little bonus. A song, a list, and a picture.

1. A fun little video from Billy Bragg. The song is great, and the video clips he has in the background are so fun to see.

2. I got this idea from longtime reader Gamma Zink after one of her comments in this series. I Googled this……

A poll by radio consultancy Jacobs Media Strategies asked air personalities to name the greatest “bathroom break” song of all time and Peter Frampton topped the list with his live version of “Do You Feel Like We Do,” which clocks in at 14:15 (the studio version is 6:44.)

Commenting on the poll, Frampton said “I’m so moved. I’m honored to be #1. Unfortunately, while playing this song I’ve never been able to take a bathroom break.”

Led Zeppelin has the most songs on the list with three, followed by Meat Loaf and the Eagles with two each.

The complete list is as follows:

  1. “Do You Feel Like We Do” – Peter Frampton
  2. “American Pie” – Don McLean

3. Capitol Records in Hollywood, California

I just love this building. The history, the architecture, the iconic vibe of Southern California……..I guess I have that love for other recording studios as well; Abby Road, Stax Records, and Motown. They no longer offer tours of the Capitol Records building, but if anyone of my “trillion” followers can get me a tour here, please let me know; I would love to go!

4. What the heck……..let’s throw in one of my blog links about the Abby Road Studios for those who actually read through this!
